The Cleveland Cavaliers are reportedly looking to move Dennis Schroder this offseason, with the potential move marking the 13th time he would change teams in his NBA career. Schroder has already played for 11 different NBA franchises across his 13-year career.
The Cleveland Cavaliers are reportedly looking to part ways with a guard they acquired midseason.
According to NBA insider Brian Windhorst, the Cavs are exploring the possibility of moving Dennis Schroder in order to shed salary this offseason.
“The most recent thing I’ve heard with the Cavs is they’re looking to shave off some salary. I think primarily they may be investigating if they could move Dennis Schroder,” Windhorst said on ESPN Cleveland.

Schroder started the 2025-26 season with the Sacramento Kings after signing a three-year deal with them last summer.
He was traded to Cleveland at the NBA trade deadline, making the Cavaliers the 11th different NBA franchise he has played for in his career.
It also marked the 12th time he has changed teams in his 13-year NBA career.
Schroder saw reduced role during Cleveland’s playoff run
This season, the 32-year-old German guard averaged 10.8 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 4.9 assists in around 24 minutes per game during the regular season with the Kings and Cavaliers.
In the playoffs, his role decreased to around 15 minutes per game, as he averaged 5.5 points, 1.5 rebounds, and 2.4 assists while helping Cleveland reach the Eastern Conference Finals, where the Cavs were swept by the eventual NBA champion New York Knicks.
