MACAULEY Jones is about to enter some unprecedented territory in the context of ATCC/Supercars history.
Jones is due Saturday to notch his 250th main game start – the same race in which Chaz Mostert will celebrate his 400th.
Now, there are 40 drivers already to have reached 250 championship races, including six of Macca’s contemporaries (David Reynolds, Mostert, Cam Waters, André Heimgartner, Jack Le Brocq and Anton De Pasquale).
A total of 15 drivers logged 250-plus races for a single team.
But no one everbefore has made the entirety of their first 250 championship starts for the one team.

Jones Jr made his top-level debut in the 2015 Sandown 500 at the age of 20.
He holds 19th in this year’s points heading into Darwin where he has a previous best result of seventh place, achieved three years ago.
