Dickson, born in Gateshead in the North East of England grew up in Scotland and is very much seen as a Scottish rider. She first came to people’s attention where she finished 2nd at the Lancaster GP when riding for an Edinburgh club team.

She joined Handsling-Alba Development and was winning and being up there in multiple races in the UK and in Europe. That meant she was noticed by FDJ United-Suez and signed up as a key support rider for Vollering.
