According to The Athletic’s John Hollinger, Porzingis is likely to receive a short-term offer due to ongoing durability concerns.
“He’s likely looking at a one- or two-year deal at this point because of the health questions, and valuations around the non-taxpayer MLE,” Hollimger wrote. “The Warriors have Bird rights on Porzingis, and he seems to fit as well there as he would anywhere else.
“Something in the area of two years and $25 million to $30 million seems fair and would put him on a similar timeline to the rest of the Warriors’ vets.”
Porzingis is set to become an unrestricted free agent after completing the final season of his $30.7 million contract. He joined Golden State at last season’s trade deadline in a deal with the Atlanta Hawks.
While injuries limited him to just 15 appearances for the Warriors, the Latvian big man averaged 16.1 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game.

Mike Dunleavy says Warriors want Porzingis back
Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, Warriors general manager Mike Dunleavy Jr. said the organization has already held positive discussions regarding the futures of both Porzingis and Draymond Green.
“We have had conversations with all of our free agents and their representatives. I think we’re in a good place with all of them. Lots of good players, but as far as Draymond and KP, Draymond has the player option, but we’re in communication with his group, and the same thing with KP,” Dunleavy said.
“Both guys we value, we want here, and we see them as a piece of the puzzle next season.”
