Bandai Namco announced today that the Grinch is coming back for another Christmas. From developer Outright Games, The Grinch 2: Saving Christmas is headed to consoles and PC later this year.

Billed as a “3D platforming journey through Who-ville and beyond”, The Grinch 2: Saving Christmas stars everyone’s favourite meanie. Determined to show everyone he really has changed, The Grinch and Max set out to create the best tree Who-ville has ever seen.

Per Outright Games, “In The Grinch 2: Saving Christmas, players will explore vibrant, snowy 3D worlds packed with festive charm, through the winding depths of the Grinch’s Cave, the slippery slopes of Mt. Crumpit, and the bustling streets of Who-ville.”

In typical platforming fashion, players will find collectibles, solve puzzles, discover hidden areas, and more as they work to make this the best Christmas ever. The Grinch 2: Saving Christmas is playable solo or co-op with the co-op mode letting one player take control of Max.

The Grinch 2: Saving Christmas will be released for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch and Xbox Series X|S on 18 September 2026.
