NBA reporter Evan Sidery shared a possible four-team deal involving Antetokounmpo, which would also include the Los Angeles Lakers landing a major frontcourt addition next to Luka Doncic.

Potential four-team Giannis Antetokounmpo trade framework:

Miami Heat receive: Giannis Antetokounmpo, Bobby Portis, Dalton Knecht Detroit Pistons receive: Tyler Herro, Jake LaRavia Los Angeles Lakers receive: Myles Turner, Andre Jackson Jr. Milwaukee Bucks receive: Kel’el Ware, Jaime Jaquez Jr., Isaiah Stewart, Nikola Jovic, Marcus Sasser, Caris LeVert, Jarred Vanderbilt, No. 13 pick, No. 25 pick, future first-round picks and swaps from Miami Lakers land much-needed center help

One of the Lakers’ main goals this offseason is expected to be finding the right pieces to build around Doncic.

Doncic’s biggest priority for Los Angeles is reportedly strengthening the frontcourt with a high-level center who can maximize his playmaking ability and help the team compete against the NBA’s elite big men.

Adding Turner would be a major step forward for the Lakers. His ability to stretch the floor with long-range shooting while also protecting the rim would give Los Angeles the type of two-way frontcourt presence it currently lacks.

Questions remain at center

With Doncic reportedly hoping for a major frontcourt addition, attention now turns to the Lakers’ current center situation.

Deandre Ayton started at the position last season and faces an important decision regarding his future. Ayton has an $8.1 million player option for the 2026-27 season, which he must decide on by June 29. If he declines it, he will become an unrestricted free agent.

Meanwhile, backup center Jaxson Hayes is also entering free agency after spending the last three seasons with the Lakers.

Hayes could attract interest around the league after playing on a contract slightly above the veteran minimum. His future in Los Angeles remains uncertain as the Lakers continue to evaluate their offseason priorities.

Interestingly, Hayes strengthened his connection with Doncic by obtaining a Slovenian passport, making him eligible to represent Slovenia internationally alongside the Lakers superstar.

According to Pistons reporter Ku Khahil, Herro’s potential arrival in Detroit as part of a major Miami deal centered around Antetokounmpo is already “picking up steam.”

Khahil reported that Milwaukee remains the key side needed to push the proposed deal forward, as the Bucks continue to explore ways to maximize value in any potential Antetokounmpo blockbuster.

“I’m hearing Tyler Herro to Detroit is picking up steam,” Khahil wrote. “This would be part of a 3-team trade that sends Giannis Antetokounmpo to the Miami Heat.

“Milwaukee, I’m told, is the side that is left to actually push through with it. They’re wanting to extract as much value as possible for Giannis, rightfully so, and want to make sure they’re not leaving any meat on the bone.”
