The Prince of Wales and the Duke of Sussex have been photographed alongside their children in separate images celebrating Father’s Day in the UK just weeks before an expected royal reunion.
Prince William was declared the “best Papa in the world” in a photo shared by the Princess of Wales on Sunday, which also happened to be his 44th birthday.

The royal, who is second-in-line to the throne, was pictured with Princess Charlotte, 11, in the snap taken in the gardens of Kensington Palace ahead of Trooping the Colour two weeks ago.
It was accompanied by a message that read: “Happy birthday and Father’s Day to the best Papa in the World! We love you very much. C, G, C & L”.
The photo was taken by Matt Porteous, who has become one of the Wales’ preferred photographers.
King Charles was pictured alongside the late Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, in a photo shared on the royal family’s official social media channels to mark the occasion.
Princess Eugenie, who is expecting her third child in the coming months, also shared a photo of her husband Jack Brooksbank and their two sons August and Ernest. Eugenie and her sister Princess Beatrice were noticeably absent from Royal Ascot last week which was attended by various members of the royal family.
Father’s Day was also celebrated in the US on June 21 and the Duchess of Sussex shared a new photo of her husband alongside their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

Prince Harry was pictured hugging Archie, seven, and Lilibet, five, at their home in Montecito in California.
Meghan captioned the image: “They’re so lucky to have you. We all are. Happy Father’s Day to our one and only.”
Prince Archie was wearing an England World Cup shirt.
The Sussexes will return to the UK for the first time as a family of four next month since mid-2022.

Prince Harry and Meghan are heading there for an Invictus Games event ahead of the tournament being held in Birmingham next year.
King Charles has offered Prince Harry, Meghan and the children accommodation at one of the royal residences, which many are seeing as an olive branch ahead of a potential reunion.
The move will put Harry, Meghan and the children within the security cordon of a royal residence. Prince Harry has been fighting to have his security provision reinstated but the outcome of a government assessment has not yet been made public.
The duke previously said that without adequate, state-backed protection, his children would not be safe and that he could not risk putting them “in danger”.
King Charles is expected to be reunited with his US-based grandchildren for the first time in four years when the Sussexes were in England to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee.
