Center Maksym Klychko will join the squad before two friendly tests, as Ukraine intensifies preparations for decisive qualifiers in Riga and Copenhagen.
The Ukrainian men’s basketball team has begun a training camp ahead of the final window of the 2027 World Cup qualifiers.
According to the FBU’s press service, on July 2 the Ukrainian team will play against Georgia at the Xiaomi Arena in Riga, and on July 5 in Copenhagen against Denmark.
The squad consists of 14 players, and on June 22 center Maxim Klitschko will join the team.
On Thursday, June 25, the team will play its first friendly against the Angola national team. The second friendly match is on June 28 against Lithuania, also as part of the preparation for the qualifiers.

After the fourth round in Group A, Spain leads with four wins in four games and has already secured advancement to the next stage.
The Ukrainian team is currently in second place with two wins and two losses.
