Palace Cinemas Pentridge has become the first Australasian cinema to deploy Christie’s RGBH projection Technology.
The Christie CP4420m-RGBH in the 15-screen complex’s largest auditorium, which offers a 12-metre wide screen, Dolby Atmos surround sound, and 220 luxury recliner seats. The projector is housed in a discreet ceiling enclosure to preserve the venue’s architectural integrity. The project was delivered by HOYTS Cinema Technology Group.
Christie’s RGBH Series cinema projectors feature 0.98-inch 4K SST DMD, enabling vibrant image reproduction in a compact and quiet form factor, operating at less than 47 dBA. Designed as a cost-effective solution for screens up to 19 metres wide, the projector also offers operational efficiency at 14.8 lumens per watt.
Palace Cinemas has existing investment in Christie cinema technologies across its circuit, including RGB pure laser projection with Real|Laser illumination and RBe projectors powered by Phazer technology.
