Julia Morris has opened up about Channel 10’s decision to “rest” I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here next year.
The network confirmed last month that the 2026 season of the beloved reality TV show would not go ahead.
This was done so that Ten could focus on offering its audience a “range of content on all platforms”.
It used the word “rested” rather than axe, indicating I’m A Celeb could be brought back to life in 2028 or beyond.
But Julia Morris, who co-hosted the program with Robert Irwin, has opened up about the decision.
“I’m devastated,” she told Nova 96.9’s Ricki-Lee & Tim.

But she said rested was “good” because it gave her hope that the show wasn’t being completely tossed in the bin.
The 58-year-old Logie Award nominee said it was such a thrill and joy to travel to South Africa every year for more than a decade.
Julia also revealed what she told Channel 10 after the decision was made.
“I also said to them, ‘You have my blessing, whatever form it comes back in, and whoever is at the helm… you’re not going to hurt my feelings,'” she told the radio hosts.
The comedian and presenter added that she hadn’t heard any whispers that Ten or another network was planning to revive it at another stage with new hosts.

Robert Irwin and Julia Morris won’t be filming I’m A Celeb later this year after Channel 10 ‘rested’ it.

But she said she’d be happy just to see the program back on the air.
When Channel 10 announced the sad news in late May, it said it looked forward to working with Julia and Robert on future projects.
Robert was also sad that the show was being rested, but had nothing but fond memories of his three years in the hosting seat.
“What an absolute privilege it has been to work on this show for the past three seasons,” he said in a statement.
“I grew up watching this show as so many Aussies do, so to be part of the fantastic team that makes this series a reality felt like a dream come true.
“We have had the honour of sharing incredible stories and create a platform to shine a light on amazing charities that our celebrities have supported along the way.
“And to do it all alongside my co-host, and friend, Julia Morris made it a truly life-changing experience that I will remember for the rest of my life.”
