Robertson confirmed a Victoria Police investigation into the incident was also ongoing.
Ararat’s Mitchell Laundy was also reported for two on-field incidents during the match, accepting a one-match ban for tripping and a four-match ban for headbutting.
Round nine results
On the field, the Eagles were outshone by Wickliffe-Lake Bolac at the weekend, losing 15.10 (100) to 9.5 (59).
Ararat had a seven-point lead at quarter time but the Magpies booted five goals to one in the second term to take control of the match.
Chevy Elliott was a standout for the visiting Eagles, kicking two goals, with ruckman Luke Briggs and captain Sam Summers among other top performers.
Tatyoon tried hard but ultimately came up short against third-placed Hawkesdale-Macarthur at Hawkesdale, losing 11.15 (81) to 11.6 (72) on Saturday.
The Eagles got off to a strong early start, leading by 19 points at quarter time, but Tatyoon clawed its way to within a kick at the long break.
Third-term inaccuracy from Hawkesdale-Macarthur kept the visitors in the match, with the Eagles booting 2.7 to the Hawks’ 1.2 for the term.
But despite a six-goal effort from Josh Lee, the Hawks were unable to complete the comeback, slipping to seventh place on the ladder as a result.
Overtaking Tatyoon was Penshurst after dismantling Moyston-Willaura by 129 points on Saturday.
Eugene Stanciu added some respectability to the Pumas’ scoreboard with three goals, but was unable to contend with the firepower of Bomber trio Jacob Mibus, nine goals, Josh Rentsch, eight, and Zanda Ewing, six. Great Western was similarly overwhelmed in a 31.17 (203) to 5.2 (32) loss to Woorndoo-Mortlake.
Lion captain Alex Bonner did his best to provide on-field leadership but was one of few winners for the home team, as Tiger Zackary Lubeek kicked nine goals for the afternoon.
Other results saw Caramut defeat SMW Rovers 10.18 (78) to 11.4 (70) in the closest match of the round and Lismore-Derrinallum outclass Glenthompson-Dunkeld 12.11 (83) to 3.6 (24).
This weekend Great Western host Ararat Eagles, Moyston-Willaura go up against Woorndoo-Mortlake, Tatyoon travel to play Penshurst, Hawkesdale-
Macarthur host Glenthompson-Dunkeld, Wickliffe-Lake Bolac are at home to Caramut and SMW Rovers are on the road against Lismore-Derrinallum.
