Super2 returns for the third round of its season at the Wanneroo Raceway, with the Top 5 Shootout back on the schedule for the first time in 2026.

Introduced last year at Tasmania, the format will be used for the series’ first race of the Perth weekend on Saturday.

The format gives young drivers the chance to experience the unique one-lap qualifying run before they graduate to the main series.

Zach Bates claimed the first Super2 Shootout pole position in Tasmania, giving him valuable experience before his solo Supercars debut at Queensland Raceway.

Bates made the Shootout on Sunday of the Ipswich event, competing in the Supercheap Auto Wildcard, run at the time by Triple Eight.

Lochie Dalton claimed the second Super2 Shootout pole at Bathurst.

Dalton leads the pole position tally for the season after two rounds, having claimed the top spot in three of four races thus far.

The Blanchard Racing Team recruit also leads the championship ahead of the newest round winner Campbell Logan, while Round 1 winner Brad Vaughan dropped to third in the standings.

Joining Super2 on the support undercard is the Tyrepower V8 SuperUtes Series, the Trans Am Cup Series, and Radical Cup Australia.

Supercars returns to its Super440 format at Wanneroo Raceway, following 500km events with racing on all three days in Darwin and Townsville.

The Bosch Power Tools Perth Super440 will be held from July 31-August 2, the penultimate round of the Sprint Cup.
