Eels coach Jason Ryles has lashed his side following their 32-12 loss to South Sydney which ruined captain Mitch Moses’ 250th game.

Ryles and Moses cut dejected figures in the Eels post-match press conference, with the Parramatta coach stating the team’s performance wouldn’t have “beat a park football side”.
In a very brief presser which lasted just over two minutes, Ryles stopped short of telling the media contingent how he really felt before lamenting his side’s shocking completion rate (60%).
The Eels also missed 36 tackles and completed just eight sets in the second half.
“I probably you don’t have the vocabulary to articulate how I actually feel, so disappointing is probably one way to put it,” Ryles said.
“It was self-inflicted, they didn’t have to earn a whole heap of what they did tonight. They made their one-on-one tackles on the trial and we didn’t.
“We completed at 38% in the second half with 40% possession. You won’t beat a park football teams on that. So that that’s the reality of where we’re at the moment.
“If I had answers, I’d give them to you.”
While near the bottom of the table, there have been promising signs out of the Eels over the past month or so, especially defensively.
However, that seemed like a distant memory when the Eels conceded two soft tries inside the first 15 minutes.
The second try led to a normally placid Ryles slam his walkie talkie down in frustration in the coaches’ box and storm out.

“Yeah, she’s pretty hot up there sometimes,” Ryles responded when asked about the incident in the box.
Moses may have played himself out of a Blues jersey for Game III after a performance Fox League’s Matty Johns described as “unusually poor”.
In NRL game 250, Moses committed four errors in attack and badly misjudged two defensive reads which led to Rabbitohs tries.
“We didn’t make our one-on-ones and just didn’t nail our chances when they did,” Moses said.
”We just made too many errors, errors out of the backfield and give a team like that good field position, they’ll make you pay.”
The halfback was then asked about his poor record in milestone games.
In all five of those (50th, 100th, 150th, 200th, 250th), Moses has been on the wrong end of the scoreboard.
“I don’t have much for you to be honest,” he replied.
