A 41-year-old man has been charged with two counts of manslaughter following a crash that claimed the lives of a father and his young son.

Emergency services were called to Green Road at Regents Park, south of Brisbane, at about 11:15am on Sunday after a crash involving a white ute and two pedestrians.

A 33-year-old man and his four-year-old son died at the scene after being struck by the ute. 

The driver of the ute was taken into custody and has since been charged.

He is due to appear in Beenleigh Magistrates Court today. 

Police are calling for anyone with relevant information or vision of the ute prior to the incident to come forward.
