The Austrian hills are alive with the sound of Supercars thanks to Triple Eight and Will Brown.
In the days after the Darwin Triple Crown, Brown and Triple Eight have jetted off to Austria’s Red Bull Ring and brought the #888 Ford Mustang with them.
As a result, Supercars is on the European stage at one of the old and famous Grands Prix, first held in 1964.
Brown has already done his first of multiple demonstration runs at the Formula 1 event in Spielberg.
The F1 event is the first in a number of special European road trips, also including Latvia, and most notably the iconic Goodwood Festival of Speed.
Brown spent his first day in Austria at Hangar 7, rubbing shoulders with IsaCk Hadjar and labelled it as one of his best memories, having not even driven a car.
“Maybe the best day of my life!” Brown said.
“Checked out Hangar 7 and went flying in the DC6. Big day at the APC doing baseline testing as well at the Red Bull Athlete Performance Centre.”
The 2024 champion was full of excitement before he left.
Will Brown is soaking up the Austrian ambience.
“Never thought I’d be taking the Supercar to a Formula 1 Grand Prix in Europe – and in Austria, the home of Red Bull, what an unreal opportunity,” Brown said at the announcement.
“Probably one of the biggest things I’ve done with the team so far.
“We see so many people commenting on Supercars race highlights, and they’re commenting from overseas. They’re loving what we’re doing here when we race.
“It’s another way to connect with them and get them into the sport – how many people have heard an Aussie V8 screaming around the Red Bull Ring? That is going to sound cool.”
