The greatest No. 78 wearer in Steelers history is defensive end Dwight White, a four-time Super Bowl champion who was a terrifying presence on the legendary Steel Curtain defense.

White, selected by the Steelers in the fourth round of the 1971 NFL Draft, went on to play 10 seasons in the NFL, all with Pittsburgh. In 126 games, including 104 starts, White recorded 55 sacks and was selected to back-to-back Pro Bowls in 1972 and 1973.

A member of the Pittsburgh Steelers’ All-Time Team and Hall of Honor, White is without a doubt the greatest No. 78 in team history.
