Another week, another Carolina Panther in the NFL Top 100.
As announced on Monday morning, defensive lineman Derrick Brown has been named to the league’s annual countdown. The 28-year-old Pro Bowler comes in at No. 90, and is now the second Panthers player to be featured on the list.
Brown joins quarterback Bryce Young, who was voted into the 98th spot.
“It’s someone we can all lean on as a team,” Young said of Brown in December, via Panthers.com. “He’s made a lot of really big plays and big moments, and even on the first down, the mundane stuff, he does so much that doesn’t even show up on the stat sheet, and so much that does.
“So I think just the presence he brings, his leadership. We all rely on him, so he’s a huge part for us.”

This past season, Brown posted 73 combined tackles and a career-high 5.0 sacks in helping lead the Panthers to their first NFC South title since 2015. He also helped Carolina finish with the 16th overall defense, a huge leap from their dead-last ranking in 2024—where he missed 16 of 17 games.
