Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban reportedly agreed to “lay down the hatchet” in a secret meet-up months on from their bombshell split after 19 years of marriage.

The former Aussie golden couple announced their shock separation in September 2025 and finalised their divorce just four months later.

After a tense period where the A-listers reportedly only communicated through their lawyers, insiders say Kidman, 59, and Urban, 58, are finally “talking regularly” again for the sake of their daughters.

‘Appalling’: Keith Urban moves in with ‘mystery woman’ after divorce

According to the source, the pair agreed to a quiet dinner in Paris while the Moulin Rouge! actress was there celebrating her birthday last week.

“They’ve tentatively agreed to meet in private and to get back to the job of parenting the girls together,” the source told Woman’s Day.

“The whole situation was starting to affect the girls, and if there’s one thing they can agree on, it’s their wellbeing.”

The insider added that, while it’s unlikely Kidman and Urban will ever be romantically involved again, they are “finding it easy” to rebuild their friendship.

“This is a couple who ‘saved’ each other multiple times throughout their relationship – him from drugs and alcohol and her from the loss of her parents and the hole left in her heart from her failed marriage to Tom Cruise,” they added.

“And while Nicole knows she only has to say the word and Keith would come back, she won’t be rushing back any time soon.

“She’s enjoying herself for the first time in years.”

It comes after the country singer surprised fans when he publicly wished his ex-wife a happy birthday on social media earlier this month.

“Happy birthday, Nicole Mary!!!!!” Urban shared on his Instagram Story, marking the first time he spoke about the actress since their divorce.

The following day, Kidman repaid the favour by paying tribute to the crooner on Father’s Day in the US.

“Happy Father’s Day to all the fathers,” the Oscar winner wrote over a photo of Urban with their daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 15.

Sunday and Faith have continued to live with Kidman following their parents’ divorce, after a judge granted her primary custody while Urban sees them every other weekend.

Insiders previously claimed the girls have struggled with the breakdown of their parents’ marriage and “blame” their father.

In April, Sunday appeared to publicly snub Urban when she briefly unfollowed him on Instagram.

Meanwhile, speculation has been rife that the Babygirl actress has found love again with a mystery man.

According to Deuxmoi, Kidman has been enjoying a low-key romance with a high-profile businessman.

“The relationship has been quietly developing for the past few months and the pair have been keeping things extremely low-key and largely out of the public eye,” a source told the outlet.

The new man is thought to be a wealthy entertainment executive who was recommended to her by pals, Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon.

“He’s slightly younger, but like Nicole is divorced and has grown-up kids. He’s also very, very rich,” another insider told Woman’s Day.
