Paul Flack, 55, was found unresponsive at his Sandringham Road home in Norwich on June 21 before later dying at the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital.
A provisional post-mortem has given the cause of death as cardiac arrest due to hanging.

An inquest into his death was opened at Norfolk Coroner’s Court on Monday (June 29) where area coroner Yvonne Blake said further enquiries would be required before the circumstances surrounding his death can be fully established.
The brief hearing was adjourned to October 23 while evidence continues to be gathered.
Mr Flack, an artist and graphic designer, leaves behind his partner and two children.

Following Caroline’ s death in 2020, Mr Flack posted a childhood photograph of his beloved sister on Instagram, writing: “This will be my last post here. May those who know feel shame for eternity. Love you Caroline.”
The tribute remained the final post on his Instagram account.

His death comes six years after the loss of his younger sister, one of Britain’s best-known television presenters, whose death in February 2020 prompted a national conversation about mental health, social media abuse and the treatment of people in the public eye.
Caroline grew up in East Wretham alongside her twin sister Jody, Paul and elder sister Elizabeth.
She attended Great Hockham Primary School and Wayland High School in Watton and went on to study dance and musical theatre at the Bodywork Company in Cambridge.

She would go on to become one of British television’s most recognisable faces, presenting programmes including Love Island, X Factor and I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! as well as winning Strictly Come Dancing in 2014.
On December 13, 2019, police were call to Caroline’s Islington flat after an incident with her tennis player boyfriend Lewis Burton. Later that month she stood down from hosting Love Island.
Her body was found on February 15, with her funeral taking place at Greenacres Memorial Park in Colney, Norwich, on March 10.

Following Caroline’s death, the Flack family spoke publicly about the devastating impact of losing her and became determined to challenge what they believed were the circumstances surrounding her final months.
Mr Flack appeared alongside his mother and sister in the 2021 documentary Caroline Flack: Her Life and Death, which explored the presenter’s life, mental health struggles and the events leading up to her death.
In the documentary, the family described Caroline as warm, funny and deeply loved, while also detailing the immense grief they experienced following her death.

Since then, Christine Flack has become one of the most prominent voices campaigning for changes to the way vulnerable people are treated by the criminal justice system, media and online platforms.
She has repeatedly argued that her daughter should never have faced a criminal prosecution after her arrest in 2019 and has maintained that the combined pressures of intense media scrutiny, social media abuse and legal proceedings contributed to Caroline’s death.
Her campaign has seen her meet politicians, call for reforms to social media regulation and continue speaking publicly about mental health in the hope of preventing other families experiencing similar tragedies.
The family’s annual Flackstock festival has also raised money for mental health charities while celebrating Caroline’s life and legacy.

At Monday’s inquest opening, no evidence was heard about the circumstances leading to Mr Flack’s death beyond confirmation of his identity and the provisional medical cause of death.
The court was told Mr Flack was born in Enfield on June 18, 1971 – meaning he died just three days after his 55th birthday.
Caroline was found dead at her London home in February 2020, aged 40. A coroner later concluded she had taken her own life.

Christine worked for the Eastern Daily Press for many years and is remembered as a much-loved and highly regarded colleague by many members of the newsroom.
