Carter Bryant will head the Spurs Summer League squad after playing in the NBA Finals just a few weeks ago, the Spurs announced Tuesday.
The 17-man squad will be coached by assistant Corliss Williamson and include the four members of the Spurs 2026 draft class: first-round picks Jayden Quaintance and Tarris Reed Jr. and second-rounders Ja’Kobi Gillespie and Maliq Brown.
“It’s an opportunity for him to explore his game a little bit without having to worry about the other four guys on the court,” Williamson said of Bryant, the No. 14 overall pick in 2025.
Williamson said Bryant’s playing time in Summer League will be limited only to Las Vegas.
Quaintance (knee) will travel with the team but won’t practice or play, Williamson said.
The team will also include Emanuel Miller and Jayden Nunn, who both played for the Austin Spurs last season.
The Summer League schedule begins with three games at the California Classic in San Francisco, including the opener against the Miami Heat on Friday.
The Spurs will play at least five games games in Las Vegas, beginning with an outing against the Atlanta Hawks and former Brennan and University of Houston standout Kingston Flemings, the eighth overall pick.
