NSW rookie Ethan Strange was spotted in a moon boot as he headed to dinner on Thursday, hours after he’d rolled his left ankle in a blow for the Blues ahead of the State of Origin decider.
The star Raiders five-eighth has been a shining light for the Blues throughout the series, but he is in doubt for the decider at Suncorp Stadium on Wednesday night after injuring his ankle at training.

Nine’s Danny Weidler said Blues staff would monitor Strange’s fitness before deciding whether to bring a replacement into camp in Kingscliff.
Strange spent about four hours working on his ankle with an ice compression device before going for dinner.
Exclusive vision of the 21-year-old hobbling out of the NSW accommodation was shown on 9News on Thursday night.
Strange starred in the series opener at five-eighth but was relegated to the bench for game two, with Mitchell Moses returning from injury.
Strange has again been named on Laurie Daley’s six-man bench for the decider.
Queensland great Darius Boyd was left stunned that the Raiders star had again been overlooked for a starting role.
“He might not get on for game three and that’s just mind-blowing,” Boyd said on Wide World Of Sports’ QLDER this week.
“Again, that’s their problem. Hopefully they keep making those same mistakes.”
NSW won game one 22-20 in Sydney, before Queensland hit back with a 44-24 victory in game two at the MCG.
