Streisand marked the occasion with a sweet Instagram post in which she asked ‘Where Has the Time Gone?’
The couple got married exactly two years after they first met at a dinner party with mutual friends
Barbra Streisand and her husband, James Brolin, are celebrating 28 years of marriage — and three decades together.
The EGOT winner, 84, marked the milestone on Instagram by sharing a sweet photo of them together, with Brolin’s arm around Streisand while her hand sits on his chest.
“Honey… 30 years together and 28 years married!? Where has the time gone? Happy Anniversary,” she wrote, signing off as Barbra Joan Brolin.
Famous friends were quick to wish the couple a happy anniversary. “Time has flown,” said Rita Wilson, who was at the couple’s wedding 28 years ago, while Linda Thompson wrote, “Where has the time gone indeed! I remember when you first started dating… Happy anniversary to a beautiful enduring love!”

Octavia Spencer, CeCe Winans, Rosie O’Donnell and Vera Wang were also among those sending their congratulations.
Streisand and Brolin, 85, got married on July 1, 1998, exactly two years after they first met. They were set up as a blind date at a dinner party with mutual friends.
“I was so shy that I came into the house and I went downstairs to be with the children and play with them until I had to sit down at the table,” Streisand admitted to Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show in 2021.
She added that she made fun of Brolin’s haircut that night, too.
“I expected a guy with a brown beard and brown, wavy hair…. I saw a guy that had all his hair cut off, no beard. And I walked by him. I put my hand through his hair and said, ‘Who f—ed up your hair?’ ” she joked.

Two years later, they were surrounded by friends, including Wilson, John Travolta, Tom Hanks and Quincy Jones at their backyard wedding.
Streisand serenaded Brolin with two new love songs at their wedding, which Travolta described as “probably the most beautiful” wedding he’d ever attended.
“I can’t tell you how lucky I am that this would happen to me so late in life,” Brolin said in his wedding speech. “Every night is a new adventure. Sleeping is a waste of time. I can’t wait to see her again in the morning.”
Though the couple doesn’t have children together, they have four kids between them from their previous marriages.

Streisand has a son, Jason Gould, from her first marriage to Elliott Gould, while her husband shares sons Josh Brolin and Jess Brolin with Jane Cameron Agee and daughter Molly Brolin with Jan Smithers.
They also share five grandchildren. Josh has four children: daughters Eden, Chapel Grace and Westlyn Reign and son Trevor; and Molly has a son, Soli.
Speaking to PEOPLE in June 2025, Streisand admitted that she loves being a grandma. “The feeling whenever they’re here is just joyous,” she said of her grandchildren. “It’s very, very special.”
