However, police said they were unable to speak with her.

As a result, police went to a property in Wyong due to a concern for welfare.

When police arrived, they found the body of a child with significant arm injuries.

The child has not been formally identified, but is believed to be a four-year-old boy.

The woman is believed to be known to the child, and she was arrested at Wyong Police Station.

She has now been charged with murder (domestic violence).

She was refused bail to appear in court later on Sunday.

A crime scene has been established, and police have begun an investigation.

More to come.
