Lionel Richie has reassured fans that he’s doing well after a recent health scare forced him off-stage and sent him to the hospital.
The All Night Long singer, 77, was forced to end a show in Minnesota on June 26 after he felt dizzy while singing Dancing on the Ceiling. He returned to the stage this week and also gave fans a health update on Instagram.

“Thank you for every message, every kind word, and for all your love. ❤️ I’m doing well, and I’m grateful for all of you,” the caption read.
“Pittsburgh and Detroit were an absolute joy. The energy, the dancing, the faces in the crowd… we made real memories together.
“See you in Toronto… let’s party all night long!” 🎉”
The post included pictures of the singer on stage during his most recent concerts.
Fan footage from the concert on June 26 shows Richie taking multiple breaks to sit down during the song, afterwards telling the crowd it was the first time he’d ever performed the song like that.
“When you’re feeling dizzy, sit your arse down,” he joked.
Richie continued for one more song before leaving the stage for an unplanned intermission, which he never returned from.
After 40 minutes of waiting, a member of Richie’s band returned to the stage with an update.

“Unfortunately, Lionel is not feeling well. He won’t be able to continue. Additional information will be available, thank you for your patience and your understanding. It’s been amazing,” saxophonist Dino Soldo said.
Richie was taken to the hospital after the incident. TMZ reported it to be a precautionary measure, but his current condition is unknown.
The Minnesota show marked the opening night of his latest domestic tour, leading fans questioning his decision to embark on a new tour.
The singer has 25 shows coming up across the United States, including one night at Madison Square Garden in New York.
