Timothy Olyphant is ageing like a fine wine.
The Hollywood star, who reached heart-throb status in the late 90s and early noughties on films such as Scream 2, Go and The Girl Next Door, has appeared in his latest project looking very much like a silver fox.
The 58-year-old stars alongside Jennifer Garner on the new Peacock series The Five-Star Weekend, which premieres locally on BINGE on July 9 – and that distinct smile he flashes on screen reminds us millennials why we were crushing hard on him back in the day.
In the eight-episode drama series, Olyphant plays Jack Finnigan, the childhood boyfriend of Garner’s character Hollis Shaw.
The pair are reunited when Hollis, a now famous food blogger, returns to their hometown of Nantucket after the tragic death of her husband.
As she retreats to the Massachusetts island for a weekend away with her five closest friends in an attempt to forget her grief, Hollis is soon faced with the hard truths, including her true feelings for Jack.

The series reunites Olyphant and Garner on screens for the first time since the 2006 rom-com Catch and Release.
In that classic film, Garner plays a woman named Gray Wheeler whose fiance, Grady, tragically dies in a boating accident right before their wedding.
After moving in with Grady’s friends because she couldn’t afford their place anymore, Gray falls for his friend Fritz (played Olyphant), but the guilt and emotional mess becomes all too much.
Despite not crossing paths for 20 years, Garner still has a soft spot for her co-star.
In a recent interview with InStyle to promote Five-Star Weekend, Garner couldn’t help but fawn over the actor.
“He does smoulder well,” she told the publication with a smile.
Olyphant has continued to work consistently over the years, starring roles in shows like Deadwood, Justified and Santa Clarita Diet.
The actor also has five other projects in the pipeline and says that he’s enjoying his career more now than he did when he was younger.
“I’m having a ball. I’m enjoying it more than I ever have,” he told Empire this month of his 30-year career.
“I’m in a pretty sweet spot. Oh my God, [on Lucky] I just worked with Annette Bening, Anya [Taylor-Joy] … I’ve been able to work with some of my heroes. People are handing me good material. I’m just having a joy of a time on set. I feel like I’m getting away with something.”
“I’ve been working a lot more than I used to,” he added. “So I feel like, if this continues, the amount of work and how much I’m enjoying it, I got a few more years left. I’ll keep going for a little bit. If they’ll let me.”
