With Davis eligible to sign a four-year max deal worth $275 million, Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints revealed that his camp, led by Rich Paul, would force the Wizards to put that kind of contract on the table.

“Very interesting scenario to see what will play out with Anthony Davis. He’s another one of these guys that is going to be extension eligible starting, I believe it’s August 6. He’s going to be eligible for a four-year $275 million max contract,” he said.

“No team is going to give Anthony Davis $275 million given his injury history over the last two to three years. But that’s what Rich Paul and Davis are lobbying for. They’re going to put pressure on the Wizards to give them some type of max extension, and we’ll see what happens there.”
