Donatas Motiejunas has expressed interest in joining the Lithuanian 3×3 national team. The veteran center, who recently played for Crvena Zvezda and Monaco, may participate in the 2026 3×3 Europe Cup after receiving an invitation to the team’s upcoming training camp.

Former Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade center Donatas Motiejunas is seeking to try 3×3 basketball.

According to head coach of the 3×3 Lithuanian national team Dainius Novickas, the big man could join the squad for the 3×3 Europe Cup 2026 in Antwerp, scheduled for September 11-13.

“Donatas has shown interest, we’ve contacted each other, and he came by to look around,” Novickas confirmed to Jonas Leksas of krepsinis.net.

“We will have the European championship in September and we will definitely invite Donatas to the camp. Whether he’ll make it is another question.”

The Lithuanian center was one of Red Star’s most reliable players during the club’s impressive seven-game EuroLeague winning streak that followed a coaching change.

During that stretch, Motiejunas averaged 8.9 points, 2.8 rebounds, including 1.4 offensive rebounds, and 1.0 assist in just 16 minutes per game while shooting 58 percent from two-point range.

His ability to provide efficient scoring in the paint, set solid screens, and create second-chance opportunities gave Red Star valuable production off the bench.
