21:29 Local Time, 02:29 GMT, 07:59 IST: San Francisco Unicorns will be quite pleased with how they pulled things back as a 200+ score was on the cards at one stage. Opting to bat, Los Angeles Knight Riders didn’t get off to a flier and when Haris Rauf removed Fletcher with his first ball, the score read 34/1 in 5.1 overs. Russell, coming in at three, got a reprieve on 5 and he took the attack to the SFU bowlers and stitched a 63-run stand for the second wicket with Munro. Ghulam broke that stand and Matthew Tromp came all guns blazing. Munro brought up his fifty with a six and LAKR were 130/2 in the 14th over. Short removed the half-centurion, a superb catch resulted in Powell’s downfall and Haris picked up a couple of wickets in the 18th over. Tromp missed his fifty by one run and a last-ball six from Hamilton took LAKR’s total over 180. The ball seems to be coming onto the bat better that today’s first game. Mind you, LAKR don’t have Sunil Narine today. Should be an interesting run-chase.
