Shane Warne’s daughter Brooke has announced her engagement.
The eldest child of the late cricketing great revealed her long-term boyfriend Alex Heath had proposed on Saturday.
Brooke shared a series of images of the proposal to Instagram, including her fiancé getting down on one knee in a green pasture.
In another picture, the newly engaged couple are seen sharing a passionate kiss against the backdrop of a sunset and a rainbow overhead.
“It was always us,” Brooke captioned the post.
Brooke’s mother, Simone Callahan, revealed the proposal included a touching tribute to the cricket legend as she shared her congratulations in the comments.
“Truly a beautiful match made in Heaven, beyond Happy for you both, endless LOVE, and the rainbow. Dad’s sign for you Brookie and Alex, he will be over the moon celebrating, enjoy this special moment, can’t wait to squish you,” wrote Brooke’s mother.
Brooke’s brother Jackson said: “Wowww I have a brother!”
“Congratulations mate,” said former AFL star and radio presenter Brendan Fevola.
Brooke and Alex celebrated their sixth anniversary in September 2025.
Last year, Shane’s eldest daughter opened up on the devastating moment the family learned the legendary cricketer had died.
Appearing on her brother Jackson’s Warnes Way podcast, she shared agonising new details about that fateful day.
Brooke explained she was spending the evening with her partner, brother, sister and their mum and was “having such a nice night” when Jackson received the dreaded phone call from Shane’s manager, Andrew Neophitou.
“Not for one minute did I think something had happened to Dad,” Brooke confessed to her brother.
“I remember you hung up the phone and said, ‘Dad’s had a massive heart attack’.
“We stood up, and I remember I couldn’t breathe. I felt like I had this out-of-body experience, and I didn’t think what was happening was happening.
“I couldn’t breathe, Alex was blowing air into my face, and I was trying to get myself together. I felt a sense of disbelief.”
Brooke and her family then had to endure a two-and-a-half hour wait before it was confirmed that doctors’ attempts to resuscitate Shane had been unsuccessful.
“We started screaming. Summer collapsed, I couldn’t breathe, Alex went outside. I had looked at you (Jackson) two minutes before and you had a feeling, you said to me, ‘Something’s wrong.’
“That night, I remember it was raining, and I sat on that balcony and I screamed and I cried.”
