FC Barcelona confirmed Finnish forward Olivier Nkamhoua as their first arrival for the 2026-27 campaign. The former Pallacanestro Varese standout signed a two-year contract and expressed excitement about making his EuroLeague debut. He is only the second Finnish player to ever represent the Catalan club.

After a lot of departures and controversies surrounding the team, club finally revealed their first arrival of the season.
Finnish forward Olivier Nkamhoua will play his first EuroLeague season with Barcelona.
Nkamhoua signed a two-year deal with the Catalan club.
“I’m very happy to be here. I’m coming to a historic club, with a great tradition, from what I’ve seen the fans are incredible and my goal is to help the team achieve as many victories and titles as possible”, he said in statements to the Club’s media after passing the medical examination.
“It will be my first year at this level. I will try to bring energy, effort, good decision-making in shots and intensity in defense. There are many things that I believe I can contribute, but we have to go step by step,” Nkamouah said in his first interview.
“My goal is to grow every day and be better than the previous year. Being able to play in a competition like the Euroleague is exciting. I am very happy to face this challenge.”
Nkamhoua will be the second player from Finland in Barcelona’s history after Petteri Koponen.
Last season he played in Italy for Pallacanestro Varese, averaging 16 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.9 assists in Italian League, playing in 29 games.
