Huawei Mate X8 key specs are once again making their way to the internet, and the latest leak flowing in reveals screen measurements. The company can use bigger display panels for the upcoming foldable, including a large cover screen.

DigitalChatStation has now shared new details on the upcoming Huawei folding smartphone. The tipster said the new-gen models will feature some interesting upgrades compared to the previous-generation handsets.

The leak begins with highlighting the top two Huawei foldable phones coming this year: dual-fold and tri-fold. The former, named Huawei Mate X8, will adopt a conventional design with slight changes to the screen and camera specs.

As per the details, the Mate X8 will feature a large 8.15-inch main screen with a 6.5+-inch cover display. For comparison, the Mate X7 foldable has an 8-inch external display and a 6.49-inch cover panel.

But the company could further stretch these panels with the upcoming dual-folding phone. In addition, Mate X8 can equip a 1/1.3-inch primary shooter, a periscope sensor, and probably a new-generation multispectral lens with more enhancements.

For the battery, Huawei may use a 6000mAh cell pack for the dual-foldable as well as ensure a highly durable hinge technology. Since the OEM announced price adjustments for its future devices, the new foldable might range up to 10000 yuan.

On the other hand, the Mate XT 2 is expected to undergo major changes. The first shift can be in the folding mechanism. Instead of a Z-shaped look, the device will likely feature a U or G-inspired appearance – just like the Galaxy Z TriFold.

The tipster added that there can be more innovative upgrades in the new tri-fold handset. While these changes are under wraps at present, we will likely get more details in the future.
