Specsavers partners with The Fred Hollows Foundation for charity collection
Specsavers has launched a limited-edition eyewear collection in collaboration with Ernabella artist and Pitjantjatjara woman Atipalku Intjalki, marking 15 years of partnership with The Fred Hollows Foundation and a decade of artist collaborations. The collection features Intjalki’s artwork Tjukurpa Mulayangu, which depicts her father’s Country and the ancestral story of Mulayangu, a wanampi (water snake) believed to have created vital waterholes across the APY Lands.
The launch coincides with the World Health Organisation’s declaration that Australia has eliminated trachoma as a public health problem, recognising decades of community-led eye health initiatives. Proceeds will support The Fred Hollows Foundation’s Indigenous Australia Program, with $25 from every $199 pair donated to expand access to culturally responsive eye care. In 2025, the partnership helped screen more than 24,000 people, deliver over 330 surgeries and provide 3,600 diabetic retinopathy treatments for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
