England cricket star Issy Wong has divided opinion after she was spotted celebrating the completion of a Rubik’s Cube during her side’s heavy Test defeat to India.
The Lord’s crowd — who were watching an England Women’s Test match at the iconic venue for the first time — watched their team succumb to a 270-run loss before lunch on the final day as they were bowled out for 186.
It is England’s second-heaviest defeat ever in terms of runs in Test cricket — the only one to top it coming away from home against India three years ago when they lost by 347 runs.

But fast bowler Wong, 24, still attempted to entertain the Lord’s crowd despite England’s impending defeat.
She successfully solved a Rubik’s Cube and then held it up to show fans, before throwing her jersey down to a young supporter.
BBC Test Match Special shared the clip with the caption: “Just Issy Wong doing Issy Wong stuff.”
Some criticised her as they were left frustrated by her positive demeanour given the magnitude of the defeat.
journalist Piers Morgan responding to BBC TMS by saying: “*Wrong’ stuff. (Fixed it for you).
“If a male player did this while England were being thrashed, all hell would break loose.”
While England fan Ian Jones added: “There’s something seriously wrong with the England set up as a whole, both men’s and women’s.
“We don’t want to be entertained. We want to win.”
And fellow England supporter Jack Rutter replied: “Getting hammered in the Test match, but hey at least she can solve a Rubik’s Cube.”
However, others fought Wong’s corner as cricketers are often seen passing the time in the stands with items such as crosswords and books.
Fan WGRumblePants saying: “There’s been some criticism in reply to this post about Issy Wong solving a Rubik’s Cube at Lord’s.
“Some of them suggest that the England men’s team would never have done it. I agree. No, no they wouldn’t. Not in a million years. Not even if you gave them the instructions.”
Cathy Jones responded to Morgan directly, adding: “Not a load of tosh. You’re just another woman hater. And the men do crosswords or even read sometimes on the balcony so what’s the difference.?
“Also that kid was probably thrilled to get Issy Wong’s shirt.”
And SAG said”: “Of course not Piers! Instead our men go out on the lash and get p***ed up.
“Have you forgotten the Ashes series already? And let’s not talk about Stokes!!”
