A young man has died after falling from a building in Sydney’s CBD, police have confirmed.
Emergency services attended the corner of Kent Street and Market Street at 2.20pm on Tuesday.
At least two ambulances and six police cars were at the scene.
Sydney City Police Area Command officers attempted to speak with the man, believed to be aged in his 20s, who then allegedly fell from a ledge, police said.
Police immediately started CPR until paramedics arrived, but he died at the scene
One office worker, who asked to remain anonymous, said a police car pulled up moments before the tragedy unfolded.

“Then came the most haunting sound,” he told news.com.au.
The witness said “at least 20 people” were in “tears … stunned silence”.
NSW Police confirmed a critical incident investigation has been launched.
“A crime scene has been established and a Critical Incident Team from Kings Cross Police Area Command will lead the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident,” police said.
“The investigation will be reviewed by the Professional Standards Command and oversighted by the Law Enforcement Conduct Commission (LECC).
“A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.”
