The American League defeated the National League 4-0 in the MLB All-Star Game in Philadelphia.
The MLB All-Stars celebrated America’s 250th birthday with a pitcher’s duel. Starter Dylan Cease earned the win after entering the game in the bottom of the first inning with a three-run cushion thanks to RBI singles from Cody Bellinger and Ben Rice. Miguel Vargas punctuated the AL’s lead with a solo shot in the eighth inning. The American League completed the first All-Star Game shutout since 2013.
Along with the action on the field, FOX brought fans a new side of their favorite MLB players with a handful of mic’d-up conversations with announcers Joe Davis and John Smoltz.
