The San Antonio Spurs have made another adjustment to their roster as they continue shaping the team for the upcoming season. The organization originally extended a two-way qualifying offer to forward Harrison Ingram in late June, hoping to retain his restricted free agent rights. However, after Ingram did not accept the offer before the league-wide deadline, the Spurs opted to withdraw it and move in a different direction.
NBA insider Keith Smith recently reported that San Antonio officially rescinded its qualifying offer.
“The San Antonio Spurs have withdrawn the qualifying offer for Harrison Ingram, a league source told @spotrac,” Smith wrote.
The move significantly changes Ingram’s free agency status. He is now an unrestricted free agent. As a result, the former second-round pick is now free to negotiate and sign with any NBA team without San Antonio having the ability to match another team’s offer.
Ingram spent each of the past two seasons on two-way contracts after the Spurs selected him with the 48th overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft. Despite showing promise, he struggled to carve out a consistent role at the NBA level. Last season, he appeared in just seven games and averaged 1.6 points per contest after posting 0.8 points per game during his rookie campaign.
While his NBA opportunities were limited, Ingram enjoyed considerable success in the G League. Last season, he averaged 16.6 points, 12.0 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game. Those performances could make him an attractive option for teams seeking additional frontcourt depth or looking to fill the final roster spots or two-way contracts ahead of training camp.
