Parramatta NRLW star Kennedy Cherrington has shown off a massive shiner she earned in her side’s loss to the Dragons last weekend.
The Eels lock suffered an orbital fracture in the 22-8 loss on Sunday, and will miss this weekend’s clash with the Titans on the Gold Coast.

On Friday morning, Cherrington and teammate Zali Fay appeared on Nine’s Today to launch Women in League round, with the former rocking the world’s largest pair of sunglasses.
But when pushed by host Danika Mason to show the world why she was wearing the sunnies, Cherrington didn’t hesitate.
“I feel like Michael Jordan right now … it just opened today,” she said as she revealed a heavily swollen and bruised left eye.
“Oh my gosh, that’s crazy. On national TV.”
Both the men’s and women’s competitions will this weekend celebrate Women in League round. Fay said the acknowledgement was important for every woman involved in the game.
“This is such a big round for the girls and everyone on and off the field that have represented and helped get the game to where it is today,” she said.
The Eels are 0-2 from the opening two games, but Cherrington said it was too early to “push the panic button”.
“In rugby league you have the opportunity to put a game aside and go again, (but) you’re only as good as your last game,” she said.
“The girls have an opportunity against the Titans … it’s only early days, we can’t hit the panic button right now.
“Women in League round is a big occasion to rise for, and I think our girls can do it.”
Fay was also lucky enough to be a part of a collaboration between the NRLW and Vogue Australia with Titan Indie Bostock, sister of Dolphins gun Jack Bostock, and Bulldog Bridget Hoy.
“The Vogue opportunity was massive – it’s always awesome when you can collaborate your off-field and on-field together,” she said.
“I’ve been doing a little bit behind the scenes in terms of fashion and modelling and designing.
“It was really cool to showcase the femininity behind footy, as well as getting around some of the young and up-and-coming stars to really showcase the sport and what it is.”
