Japan and Fiji lie fourth and sixth respectively in the Southern Hemisphere standings and will be keen to improve their positions with wins in Round 3.
It will not be easy as Japan take on Six Nations Champions France in Tokyo while Fiji face Scotland in Edinburgh.
Flying Fijians head coach Senirusi Seruvakula has named a largely settled side, with two debutants included in his 23-man squad to face Scotland in Round Three of the Nations Cup Championship at Scottish Gas Murrayfield in Edinburgh.
Debutant Virimi Vakatawa earns his first cap at inside centre in the first lineup with his fellow debutant Isikeli Rabitu on the bench and has been named as midfield cover.
The starting front row sees Eroni Mawi at loosehead prop, with captain Tevita Ikanivere at hooker and Mesake Doge at tighthead prop.
Isoa Nasilasila and Temo Mayanavanua combine in the second row, while Pita Gus Sowakula starts at blindside flanker, Lekima Tagitagivalu at openside and Elia Canakaivata at No.8.
In the backs, Frank Lomani and Caleb Muntz continue their halves combination. Jiuta Wainiqolo starts on the left wing, with Josua Tuisova on the right.
Selestino Ravutaumada in midfield, while Isaiah Armstrong-Ravula starts at fullback.
On the bench, Sam Matavesi is the reserve hooker, with Livai Natave and Peni Ravai providing front-row cover. Mesake Vocevoce backs up the locks, while Kitione Salawa covers the loose forwards.
