“I know me, and if I would’ve drunk at my wedding, I would’ve been drunk at the welcome party, and I would’ve been staying up way too late, then I would’ve been hungover for my wedding morning.

“Because I don’t believe in having one to two drinks, that’s not how I roll.

“I would’ve not remembered my own wedding, but I did, and I enjoyed every minute of it.

Opening up about the milestone, Johnson admitted how “proud” he felt by his achievement.

“I woke up the next morning after my wedding, and I was not hungover,” he revealed to his followers.

His battle with addiction

The pristine Italian celebration stands in stark contrast to the dark, substance-fuelled cycle that ruled Johnson’s life before finding reality TV fame.

Online, the content creator has been brutally honest about his history of severe alcohol and drug abuse, revealing that his dependency began during his years as a college baseball player.

What started as standard university partying quickly mutated into a dangerous coping mechanism.

Johnson admitted he began using alcohol as a crutch to numb the symptoms of mild Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and crippling social anxiety.

As the dependency took hold, the cycle escalated.

Johnson confessed to mixing heavy binge drinking with cocaine use in a desperate bid to mask severe anxiety and panic attacks.

Instead of helping, the substances trapped him in a toxic loop of blackouts, paranoia, and deep emotional isolation.

His sobriety was put to the ultimate test when he was cast in the high-pressure, alcohol-heavy environment of FBoy Island.

During his time in the franchise, Johnson found an unexpected lifeline in the show’s host, comedian Nikki Glaser, who is famously open about her own sobriety, and offered crucial support as he navigated the temptations of reality TV fame.

The morning revelation

Johnson revealed how he felt after he woke up after a sober wedding night.

“I woke up the next morning after my wedding, and I was not hungover,” he stated.

“It was so beautiful.”

He went on to advise people who are struggling with alcohol dependency.

“If you’re out there and you’re struggling with alcohol, you can enjoy life sober … just make that decision,” Johnson explained.

“You don’t need alcohol to have fun.

After admitting he was the “problem” and not alcohol, he revealed where his sobriety has led him.

“I remember when I first got sober I didn’t know what I was doing for, and here we are almost three years later,” he said.

The couple is now having their honeymoon in Europe, where fans are still eyeballing the wedding details.
