The Wests Tigers will roll the dice at the judiciary on Tuesday night in a bid to have Adam Doueihi and Latu Fainu available for this weekend’s clash against the Raiders, while a Souths star will also be making an appearance at Rugby League Central.
The Fainu charge is the most interesting of the pair with the youngster offered a two-match ban for a grade three dangerous contact charge on Bulldogs forward Leo Thompson.
While Thompson landed in a dangerous position, Fainu didn’t do a whole lot wrong which is why he will plead not guilty for the tackle that led to him being sent to the sin bin.
Fainu will be free to play if he’s successful but risks a three-match suspension if he loses, while Doueihi will plead guilty but is seeking a downgrade in a bid to face the Green Machine.
The Tigers desperately need both men on deck after they were held scoreless on Saturday and slumped to their fifth loss in a row to all but end their finals hopes.
It will be a busy night in Moore Park with the Rabbitohs also confirming that they’ll fight David Fifita’s one-game ban for a grade two dangerous contact charge.
The edge forward risks an additional week on the sidelines if he’s unsuccessful but will be free to face the Storm on Friday night if he wins the case.
