SCOTT Taylor has found a buyer for the pair of V8 SuperUte Series cars and licences he had been looking to offload.

V8 Sleuth has verified that Taylor’s pair of Ford Rangers and attached category shareholdings have been snapped up by Jason Norris.

V8 SuperUtes is a competitor-owned category, with a maximum of 24 stakes in play. Norris now owns three, having already been part of the SuperUtes field driving an Apogee Motorsport-run Toyota Hilux.

For the upcoming round in Perth (July 31-August 2), he will shift into the Ranger last raced by Paul Morris at the 2025 Townsville event.

Luke Webber meanwhile will slot into the repaired car that was at the centre of Taylor’s nasty Bathurst crash last October.

Both Fords will be run by Apogee, the South Australian squad which made its Super2 debut last month in Darwin.

Norris has made his Hilux available to lease on an arrive-and-drive basis.

In a case of competitor camaraderie, fellow SuperUtes racer and frequent truck driver Jensen Engelhardt helped expedite the handover process in time for Perth by venturing from his native Winton up to Scott Taylor Motorsport in southeast Queensland to collect the Rangers and drop them off to Apogee in Adelaide.

A total of 21 utes have been entered for the Perth Super440 support card.
