Brisbane Lions ruck-forward Henry Smith will miss the remainder of the 2026 season due to a Lisfranc injury sustained in Friday’s VFL match against Sydney.
The 23-year-old went in for surgery on his foot on Tuesday afternoon and will begin his recovery in the coming weeks as he looks to return for 2027.
Veteran defender Dayne Zorko, who experienced some hamstring awareness during Saturday’s win over West Coast, trained on Tuesday and is expected to face Port Adelaide this weekend.
In further positive news for the Lions, key forward Oscar Allen made a successful return from injury on Friday against the Swans and will again push for AFL selection this week.
