Olympiacos Piraeus have reportedly rejected a €600,000 offer from Dubai Basketball for Thomas Walkup.
Thomas Walkup appears set to continue his career with Olympiacos Piraeus after the EuroLeague champions rejected an official offer from Dubai Basketball.

According to Sport24, Dubai offered Olympiacos €300,000 this summer and another €300,000 next year to acquire the naturalized Greek international.
Olympiacos rejected the proposal outright and ended the discussions. As things stand, Walkup remains under contract with the Piraeus club and is expected to report for preseason preparations as usual.
Walkup explores options amid Dubai interest
Walkup reportedly contacted the EuroLeague Players’ Association to clarify his contractual rights amid his desire to move to Dubai.
The guard was informed that, without a predetermined buyout clause, Olympiacos are entitled to demand any fee they consider appropriate before agreeing to release him.
The two sides could still discuss a contract extension with an increased salary during the season. Otherwise, Walkup is expected to complete the final year of his current deal before becoming a free agent next summer.
Dubai have reportedly offered Walkup a contract worth around €3 million.
Walkup is entering the final season of the extension he signed in 2023 and is set to earn around €1.1 million before his contract expires in 2027. The deal does not include a buyout clause.
During the 2025-26 EuroLeague campaign, Walkup averaged 5.3 points, 2.6 rebounds, 5.7 assists, and 0.9 steals for a 9.5 PIR over 37 appearances, helping Olympiacos win their fourth EuroLeague title and win the Greek League over Panathinaikos.
