Two people are dead after a light plane crash in Queensland’s southeast.
Emergency services were called to Oakey Cooyar Road in Kelvinhaugh, near Toowoomba, just after 3pm on Sunday.
Paramedics rushed to the scene and treated two people, who were declared dead at the scene.

Queensland Fire Department said the plane had caught fire on impact, with three crews sent out to extinguish the blaze.
“The Forensic Crash Unit will attend the incident and will assist partner agencies in investigating the circumstances of the incident.”
The Australian Transport Safety Bureau said it is preparing to investigate the accident, and will deploy investigators to the accident site.
