I think many people would prefer buying on the Xbox Store if all games were available there, if the pricing were more aggressive, and if mod integration were better, etc. But that doesn’t change the fact that the Xbox ecosystem also has many advantages, notably Xbox Play Anywhere, better integration with the Xbox ecosystem, a stronger rewards system, integration with Game Pass, and an interface that I personally find more pleasant than Steam’s, which I consider overloaded with banners and pop‑ups of all kinds.
