Journalist and television news producer Gina Treharne, who worked at Seven News for decades, has died, following a battle with cancer.
Last night Michael Usher and Angie Asimus paid tribute to a “dear friend.”
“Gina worked with 7News for decades as a passionate journalist. Her curiosity was relentless, her dedication to bring you the news, an inspiration. But very, very sadly cancer has taken her from us all,” said Usher.
“Our hearts are broken for Andrew, Charlie and Eliza, and her entire family,” Asimus added.
In difficult news of our own, we have lost our dear friend, Gina Treharne.
