PIES PROVIDE POSITIVE MAYNARD UPDATE
Collingwood vice-captain Brayden Maynard has avoided structural damage after he suffered a knee knock against Adelaide on Thursday night.
The Magpies on Saturday confirmed scans cleared Maynard of serious injury to his left knee, with the gun defender to be assessed ahead of next week’s clash with Geelong.

It’s sigh of relief for Craig McRae’s side coming off a sixth-straight win that has the Pies in touch with the top four.
“Maynard sustained a knock to his left knee during Thursday night’s game against the Adelaide Crows,” Collingwood said in a statement.
“Scans have cleared the defender of any structural damage, and Maynard will be assessed further during the week with the club to communicate a return to play timeline in due course.”
It comes while the Pies already grapple with the absences of some key stars including season-ending setbacks to skipper Darcy Moore (hamstring) and Jamie Elliott (ACL).
SCOTT READY TO ‘HAVE IT OUT’ WITH LYON ON AFL 360
Chris Scott is ready to “have it out” with Ross Lyon on Fox Footy’s AFL 360 on Monday night.
The Geelong coach responded to a cheeky jibe from Lyon regarding Bailey Smith after last week’s matchup with Marcus Windhager.
Lyon on Friday hit back at Smith’s suggestions that the Saints should release Windhager from tagging roles.
“Bailey was running rampant with no one on him, then ‘Windy’ put him to sleep,” Lyon said.
“The horse trying hardest in the race is self interest, right?
“I mean Bailey often talks without thinking, doesn’t he? At least he’s not sending emojis out on text this time.”
Scott after Geelong’s win over Melbourne on Friday night returned serve to his Saints counterpart.
“He’s got nothing, if not a sharp tongue, Ross. That’s why I find him so entertaining,” Scott said.
“I think he’s on with me Monday night on AFL 360. Tune in, we might have it out there.”

“I know we’ve just previewed Tim Tszyu and Errol Spence Jr. (boxing match). It might be Chris Scott and Ross Lyon,” former Hawthorn sharpshooter Ben Dixon said with a laugh.
Triple premiership Lion Jonathan Brown responded: “That might be the encore! That’ll be great, I’m looking forward to that.
“Because On the Couch is obviously straight after it. So I might just see them in the green room.
“Ding, ding! Here we go boys! I might bring me refs outfit in!”
