Dragons front-rower Madison Mulhall was helped off the field in tears on Saturday after suffering what appeared to be a serious knee injury during a 28-8 loss to the Bulldogs.
One moment, the young prop was taking a crunching carry. She charged onto an offload from captain Brooke Anderson in the 47th minute, fended off Latisha Smythe and sent Ashleigh Quinlan tumbling.

The next, she was screaming in agony as Monica Tagoai brought her down around the legs.
Mulhall’s right knee twisted into an excruciating position in the tackle.
She clutched at her knee immediately and was soon in tears as medics came to her aid.
“We saw that last replay and I felt ill watching it,” Jillaroos great Ruan Sims said on Nine.
“I hope it’s a fast recovery for her.
“She’s a very promising young talent.”
Mulhall’s injury, suffered only four rounds into the season, could have a huge impact on St George Illawarra’s campaign.
The Camden Rams product is the Dragons’ reigning NRLW player of the year.
Canterbury dominated Saturday’s clash at Accor Stadium to string together back-to-back wins.
