Rohan Browning and Edward Nketia will compete in the men’s 100m sprint soon — there’s 11 heats happening at Scotstoun Stadium tonight, we’re in the 7th and 11th races.
Our boys be eyeing the 23-year-old record time of 9.93s, which was set by Aussie sprint star Patrick Johnson.
No Australian has won this event, or its predecessor (the 100y, as it was known), since the Auckland Commonwealth Games in 1950.
The last time we secured a medal in the men’s 100m was at the 1962 Commonwealth Games in Perth, when Michael Cleary claimed bronze.
Browning is just setting up on the starting line now, c’mon green and gold!
