Playing styles and prediction
It’s been an inconsistent season for Kovacevic who has failed to capitalize on his semi-final result at Hamburg. The American has a big game and consistent defensive skills at the baseline to extend the rallies but now needs to show some attacking intent. This is a big week for Kovacevic who is defending final points from last year and will be full of confidence having beaten Norrie a few years ago in Los Cabos.
Norrie will need to be aggressive on the forehand and will aim to be aggressive on the second serve. Meanwhile Kovacevic will take the forehand early and will look to extend the rallies, waiting for the perfect time to put pressure on Norrie’s defensive game. This will be a tough match for Norrie who has a poor record against the American and will need to start well if he wants to have any chance of starting his campaign in North America with a victory.
